On August 18, 700 unmanned drones were gathered to stage a special performance during the sixth season of the TV Show China’s Got Talent.

Long March 2

With exciting background music, these unmanned drones rose into the night sky. By changing their three-dimensional formations, figures of some China’s major scientific research achievements in recent years were shown, such as the fighter aircraft Chengdu J-20, the Chinese manned deep-sea research submersible Jiaolong, the Long March rocket, and China’s first prototype space station Tiangong-1. Then, the formation of these unmanned drowns changed into “70” to mark the 70th anniversary of the founding of the new PRC.

The five-minute performance of unmanned drowns climaxed with the formation of a Five-starred Red Flag.

Shi Zheyuan, the conductor of the performance, witnessed the historic moment of Hong Kong’s return to China. As a national flag guard in the army in 1997, the experience of flag protection has influenced his life a lot. “No matter where I am, I will pledge to defend the flag and my motherland to the death!”

However, in addition to using technologies to present fabulous performances, it’s also important to use these drones to serve society.

Shi Zheyuan, hopes that the TV show performance can arouse more youths’ attention to China’s high technologies, and the beauty of China’s technology can also be shown to the world through the show.
