Lunar sample No. 001 collected by the National Museum of China

The opening ceremony of the "Moon Sample No. 001" exhibition and the donation ceremony were held on February 27 at the National Museum of China. The exhibition displays more than 40 physical objects related to lunar exploration projects including Moon Sample No. 001, supplemented by a large number of static and dynamic pictures and video materials, to system atically review the achievements of China's lunar exploration projects.

On December 17, 2020, the Chang'e-5 return capsule landed safely and brought back nearly 2 kilograms of lunar samples. This was the first time that China had takena sample and brought it home from the moon, and an important milestone in the construction of a space power. To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China,lunar sample No. 001 entered into the National Museum weighs exactly 100 grams. On the morning of February 27, 2021, the exhibition will be open to the public at the National Museum of China.
