Most universities’ students completed their return to school in Shanghai on February 28th, and officially started the new semester on March 1.

At Shanghai University, students returned to school in orderly batches from February 22nd in accordance with the principle of "different area, different level, different time, and different peak". All students officially started classes on March 1.

At the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, nearly 7,000 students returned to school on February 28. During the winter vacation, the university required students to complete a daily health check-inandbefore students returned to school, they needed to submit a return application. All the information provided is linked with the access control system and POS system. In order to carry student’s luggage, shuttle buses and volunteers were arranged at the school gate to provide assistance.

At East China Normal University, due to the different return times and the epidemic prevention control, students couldn’t meet offline. The students’ "Hongbuliao" band from the Department of Education, specially presented "Hometown Memory" on the night of Lantern Festival. More than 800 spectators watched the performance online.
