Over the past two months, around 1.5
million visitors have come to the Fengjing Road Weekend Market at the Bund
Finance Center. Last weekend, the market announced that it will cooperate with "Sesame Street”, the world-famous cartoon IP, to
provide visitors with a unique interactive experience in the next three months.
It’s reported that the pedestrian market has
been decorated based on "Sesame Street" characters and scenes. On the
weekend, some classic characters from the TV show also came to the spot, including
Elmo, Abby, Big Bird and Cookie Monster.
Besides the "Sesame Street”
experience, the BFC will also hold a series of
cultural events in the following weeks. Kyoto House, located in the BFC, will host
a traditional Japanese style bazaar where a variety of products with Japanese
characteristics from 20 brands will be on display. People can visit the bazaar
and enjoy watching performers wearing Japanese style clothes. Meanwhile, a
bazaar held by Artisan Hub will display retro toys, handmade products and
original art designs from over 100 brands and more than 50 original design
shops.
The BFC will also collaborate with online
platform TikTok to attract more people’s attention. In the second half of
August, the BFC will host various games on the spot for visitors, and people will
be able to exchange gifts via posting short videos online.
