As the epidemic recedes in China, the catering and tourism industries are now springing back to life. In Shanghai, some tourist spotshave also recentlyreopened, such as three leading attractions in the Lujiazui area.

Sightseers to the Shanghai Tower, the Jinmao Tower and the Oriental Pearl Tower can now visit those places while following strict epidemic prevention and control measures.

The 88th-floor sightseeing hall of Jinmao Tower was reopened on May 8, with its opening hours adjusted to 9:30am to 8:30pm. The service “Wander in the Cloud” was reopened on April 22. People can walk along a 60-meter-long glass skywalk without rails, feeling the most extreme sightseeing experience.

The sightseeing hall also launched a set of classical Shanghai-style refreshments for the tourists.

After the reopening, the number of visitors each day is limited to no more than 30% of the hall’s normal capacity, and people can enter the building only with a body temperature lower than 37.3°C, a face mask and a green health QR code.

For the Shanghai Tower, which is not far from the Jinmao Tower and the tallest skyscraper in China, its 118th-floor observation deck has also been reopened with mandatory online reservation services.

The sightseeing services in the Oriental Pearl Tower have also resumed, though the Landmark Paradise and the Coca-Cola Restaurant in the building are still under renovation.

In accordance with the nation’s latest guidance, parks, tourist attractions, sports venues and indoor venues like libraries, museums and art galleries are allowed to reopen as long as COVID-19 prevention measures like online reservations and limited attendance are followed.
