SHANGHAI, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- The second Bund Summit kicked off in Shanghai on Friday, bringing together government officials, financial industry insiders, and academics from around the world to discuss topics concerning global economic transformation and China's financial opening-up, among others.

The summit, with the theme "Crisis and Opportunities: New Finance and New Economy in a New Situation," will run until Sunday.

The event consists of more than ten forums and sessions in which participants will exchange their views on challenges facing the global financial system. Fiscal and monetary policy coordination in global economic recovery efforts, new trends and opportunities in the digital economy, and many other issues that attract international attention will be under discussion.

The summit is co-hosted by the China Finance 40 Forum and other member institutions of the summit's organizing committee. Enditem
